Specialized Therapy for OCD, Complex Trauma & Anxiety
Evidence-based therapy that helps adults overcome OCD, heal from trauma, reduce anxiety and depression, and build healthier relationships.
Why does it feel like you're doing everything "right" but still feel stuck?
You've tried to push through the anxiety, quiet the intrusive thoughts, numb the pain, or keep the peace—but you're still feeling stuck. Therapy can help you understand what's keeping you there and create lasting change.‘
Anxiety, OCD, and the effects of trauma can quietly shape the way you think, feel, and respond to the world.
You may find yourself constantly on edge, overthinking decisions, avoiding situations, replaying conversations, or caught in cycles of intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviors. Over time, these patterns can leave you feeling exhausted, disconnected, and stuck.
Through evidence-based therapy, we'll work together to understand what's driving these patterns and help you build new ways of responding with greater calm, flexibility, and confidence.
Change begins with understanding the patterns that keep you feeling stuck.
Whether those patterns involve intrusive thoughts, anxiety, the effects of trauma, emotional overwhelm, or relationship difficulties, therapy provides an opportunity to understand what maintains them and develop practical, evidence-based strategies that create lasting change.
Hi, I'm Shawn Pedani, LISW-S.
I am a clinical social worker in the State of Ohio. I provide in-person counseling in Canal Fulton and secure telehealth throughout Ohio, serving adults from nearby communities including Jackson Township, Massillon, Akron, North Canton, and across Stark and Summit counties.
I specialize in helping adults who are struggling with OCD, anxiety, and the lasting effects of complex trauma. Many of the people I work with feel trapped in cycles of overthinking, intrusive thoughts, emotional overwhelm, or self-doubt. Others find themselves feeling anxious for no clear reason, constantly people-pleasing, or fearing abandonment in close relationships—patterns that often have deeper roots than they realize.
My approach is evidence-based, compassionate, and tailored to your unique experiences. I integrate Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD with modern, experiential therapies such as Internal Family Systems (IFS) and other trauma-informed approaches that help you understand and heal the deeper emotional patterns contributing to your distress. Rather than focusing only on symptom reduction, therapy becomes a collaborative process of building emotional resilience, self-understanding, and lasting change.
Whether you're living with OCD, the effects of complex trauma, anxiety, or depression, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where healing feels both practical and compassionate—helping you move beyond simply coping toward living with greater confidence, flexibility, and peace.
